A terrible fire broke out in a hojri shop located in Dal Bazar in Ludhiana. It was a three storied building. First there was a fire in the building below. Soon, the fire engulfed the second floor as well. Shopkeepers informed the owner of the shop about the short circuit outside the shop.

Owner Ramesh Gulati and Puneet reached the place of incident. First, the people of the area tried to put out the fire, but seeing the fire increasing, they informed the fire brigade. After 1 hour of struggle, the fire was brought under control. The owner Ramesh Gulati said that there were hojri goods worth lakhs of rupees in the shop, which turned into ashes.

Ramesh Gulati, the owner of nearby shops, said that there are so many tangles of electrical wires outside the shops that sometimes sparking occurs in the area. Last night also there was a short circuit in the wires outside the shop. There were explosions in the wires. As we watched, the fire increased. If Powercom would have fixed the wires on time, the fire would not have caused the loss of lakhs.
