This flag pole has been installed by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore. This flag pole is installed at a distance of 100 meters from the 360 ​​feet tall old flag pole right in front of the Golden Gate. A base is made 4 feet above the ground, on which this flag pole is installed. Along with this, the old flag pole was also constructed by the Amritsar Improvement Trust in 2017.

Seeing India, Pakistan opened the poll

After India installed a 360 feet high flag pole in 2017, Pakistan installed a 400 feet high flag pole on its border in the same year. There was a lot of controversy between the two countries regarding the hoisting of the flag by Pakistan.

It is said that cameras have been installed on the Pakistani flag pole, which Pakistan can monitor for several kilometers inside the Indian border. At present, NHAI has placed around five national flags for the inauguration of the new flag pole. The length and width of which is 120×80 feet. Each tricolor weighs 90 kg.

The highest flag of the country will be on the attic

Till now the highest flag of the country is being hoisted in Belgaum, Karnataka. The height of which is 110 meters i.e. 360.8 feet, which is just .8 feet more than the tricolor hoisted on the Attari border so far. But after the inauguration of the new flag pole, the highest tricolor will be hoisted at the Attari border.
