Suspension of AAP MPs is unfortunate: Raghav Chadha

[ad_1]

Raghav Chadha: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticized Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent speech, saying that it revealed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) deep enmity towards Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP. Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha condemned the home minister’s choice of words and compared him to the standards set by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, calling him unfit for such a high post.

Raghav Chadha pointed out that Amit Shah’s speech unwittingly underlined the effective governance given by AAP since 2015. He argued that the introduction of the Delhi Services Bill by the BJP was a strategic move to curb the growing influence of the AAP after its landslide victory in the 2015 elections. Which deprived the BJP of political power in Delhi.

Elaborating on this point of view, Raghav Chadha said that the BJP expressed surprise at the sudden adoption of historical figures like Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr BR Ambedkar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He said that it is Ambedkar and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel whom the BJP has often criticized in the past. Chadha said the BJP should heed the ideology of stalwarts like LK Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who supported full statehood for Delhi.

Pointing to the alliance formed by AAP and other parties, he stressed the unity of the India group, thwarting the BJP’s efforts. They strongly reaffirmed their collective commitment to fight the upcoming 2024 elections with unwavering strength and determination.

He also attacked the BJP’s confidence to win the 2024 elections and interpreted it as an attempt to avoid accountability for broken promises. He highlighted the growing public discontent over issues like job creation, economic development and social welfare initiatives, which the BJP promised to address.

In the context of national stability and communal harmony, Raghav Chadha criticized the BJP for what he described as the party’s role in fueling communal tensions in states like Haryana and Manipur. He appealed to the voters to reject BJP’s politics for the future welfare of the country.

Raghav Chadha recently expressed regret over the suspension of AAP MPs from Parliament and raised serious questions about the BJP’s motives behind these actions. Chadha said that the privilege motion initiated against him is similar to similar actions taken against respected leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Indira Gandhi and Dr Manmohan Singh. He suggested that it is a matter of honor for us to be included in this list.
