Bureau Report: The SIT has presented the third provisional challan on Friday regarding the Kotakpura shooting incident, but the 2 videos presented in the court by the then SHO Gurdeep Singh Pandher’s lawyer have raised big questions about the investigation. Pandhra’s lawyer Amit Gupta has raised serious questions about the 2 videos presented by the SIT. Both these videos are from the same time of the Kotakpura shooting incident. But are from different direction. A video of 14th October 2015 which has been presented by Pandher’s lawyer is of 6 hours 49 minutes and it is from Jaito Road. Similarly, the second video that has been presented is also from the Muktsar road side of 14th October at 6:49. In this video, a Sikh protester, Ajit Singh, falls down due to being shot. Regarding the direction of this bullet, the lawyer of the then SHO Gurdeep Singh Pandher has put a new theory before the court. But serious questions are being raised about this theory as well.
The then SHO Pandher’s lawyer Amit Gupta has claimed through 2 videos that the bullet passed through the right thigh of the injured protester Ajit Singh and hit the left. The right side was the protesters and the left side was the police. That is, the shots were fired from the side of the protesters. The lawyer of the then SHO Pandre has also said to prove his claim that the SLR weapon was lost from 2 policemen Yashpal Singh and Kulwinder Singh at that time. This may have caused the shooting. The lawyers of the then SHO are trying to prove that Kotakpura was shot by the protesters during a peaceful demonstration. They claim that the video is available with the SIT, yet they are blaming the policemen in each of their challans. Statements of Baljit Singh Daduwal and Sikh preacher Harjinder Singh Majhi and the injured Ajit Singh who were present in the demonstration have also come out on this claim of the SHO.
Statement of injured Ajit Singh
Ajit Singh, who was injured in Kotakpura, has admitted that the bullet came from his right side where the protestors were. But he has said that those people may have been sent by some policemen to spoil the atmosphere. Baljit Singh Daduwal and Harjinder Singh Majhi have supported Ajit Singh. Daduwal said that Sikh preacher Panthpreet Singh was leading in Kotkapura, he was repeatedly appealing to the Sangats to keep the kirpans in the vehicles. The decision was taken to conduct the protest completely peacefully, then where did the guns come from? On October 14, when the police attacked, the devotees were reciting peacefully, when the police buses arrived in the morning, there was fear that something was going to happen. Daduwal asked where was the then SHO Pandher for 8 years? Now the story of fake SLR and the direction of the bullet is being told to confuse the case. On the other hand, Sikh preacher Harjinder Singh Manjhi said that the way the police tried to prove by shooting at their own gypsies in Behbalk that the protestors had fired, we fired in response, now in Kotkapura there is a new theory.
