Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) from Punjab visited the family members of the youth lodged in the Central Jail, Dibrugarh, Assam under the National Security Act (NSA) on April 27 with their relatives. is taking for Shiromani Committee Member Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka yesterday left for Assam by air from Amritsar along with family members of eight youths. During this visit to Dibrugarh, Advocate Sialka was accompanied by Jaskaran Singh, the writer of Information Technology Department of Shiromani Committee.

Speaking on the occasion of departure for Assam, Advocate Sialka said that approval was obtained for the meeting with the family members of the youth detained in Dibrugarh Jail, according to which it has been arranged today. He said that after departing from Amritsar tomorrow by air, a flight will be dispatched from Delhi to Assam this morning.

He said that out of 10 persons detained in Dibrugarh Jail, eight detainees Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Varinder Singh Johal, Gurmeet Singh Bookanwala, Harjit Singh Jallupur Khaira, Bhagwant Singh Bajeke, Basant Singh, Gurinderpal Singh and one person each from the family of Papalpreet Singh were sent by SGPC. They have been taken to Assam to meet their relatives.

It may be mentioned that Shiromani Committee President Harjinder Singh Dhami had assigned the responsibility of pursuing the cases of youths detained under NSA by forming a legal team to Shiromani Committee member Advocate Sialka, who met the youths detained in Dibrugarh Jail and met their family members.
