Policy to Regularise Contractual Employees: On the guidelines of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that the Punjab government will soon come up with a policy to regularize the contract employees of the health department.

Apart from this, the health minister said that the government will soon provide insurance cover to all employees of the health department, including contract workers and Asha workers, under the Ayushman scheme.

He said that he has already instructed the health agency of the state to prepare guidelines in this regard in a timely manner. He said that the health insurance premium will be paid by the state government.

Talking to the employees, Dr. Balbir Singh said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann believes in employee friendly policies due to which the union leaders were called here to address their grievances without any delay.

He assured that they will not have to resort to agitations to fulfill their demands. He also appreciated the staff of the health department for the commendable work being done in the health sector of the state. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has always respected the sentiments and demands of the health workers.

He urged the employees to work with more enthusiasm so that the common people do not face any kind of difficulty in getting health services. He said that all their legitimate demands will be met soon. Motivating the employees, the Cabinet Minister said that if you perform your duties diligently and diligently, success will also kiss your feet.

After the meeting, the union leaders expressed satisfaction and said that a good effort has been made by the Punjab government to listen to their problems by calling the employee unions. He thanked the minister for sympathetically listening to the demands.

On this occasion, apart from the Minister, Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare, MD National Health Mission, NHM Employees Union Punjab, NRHM Employees Union, Tier-4 Employees Unions, Drivers Association Punjab, Pharmacy Officer Association, CHO Association, Contract MPHW Female Union, 2211 Contract MPHW. Representatives of Female Association, Asha Workers and Asha Facilitators Union, Aids Control Workers Union and Corona Warriors Union were present.
