During the investigation, the SIT also added another section 201 of the IPC to the FIR related to the scam and named 42 new persons as accused. 8 of these accused have been arrested on Saturday.
The Vigilance Bureau has arrested Patwari Daljit Singh of village Khawaspur, Registry Clerk Sukhwinderjit Singh Sodhi, Deed Writer Devidas, Harpinder Singh Gill of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Nagar of Hoshiarpur, Satwinder Singh Dhatt and Avtar Singh Johal of Mohalla Tibba Sahib. Ilaja Jasvinder Pal Singh resident of Lily Cottage and Parvinder Kumar resident of Pippalanwala have been arrested from this. They will be produced in court on Sunday and remanded for further questioning.
