Five coaches of the goods train derailed near Mendhapli in Bargarh district, about 450 km from Balasore. It is being told that the freight train was loaded with lime and it met with an accident in Bargarh, in which several coaches of the freight train derailed.
Regarding the accident, the East Coast Railway says that the freight train was transporting goods from a private cement factory near Mendhapli in Bargarh but some of its coaches derailed. Railways has nothing to do with this matter. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the incident. This goods train was going from Dungri to Bargarh.

The can loaded in the freight train belongs to a private cement company and was being transported for the company. It is not a railway line owned by Indian Railways. It is a narrow gauge line owned by Bargarh Cement Works. The operation of the main line has not been affected due to the accident.
It is a private narrow gauge rail line of ACC Company between Dungri to Bargarh Cement Plant. Here the line, wagons and locos are all owned by private companies. It is in no way connected with the Indian railway system. This incident of derailment of the goods train took place early today.
