Bureau report : Several major decisions have been taken in the Punjab Cabinet meeting held on Saturday. After the meeting, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that the sports policy pending for years has been approved. 39 posts vacant for a long time in large government dental colleges in Amritsar and Patiala will be filled. Delivery of flour and dal to people’s homes has been allowed.

Minister Cheema has said that the Punjab government has appointed surgeons on many new posts. In order to strengthen the Punjab State Legal Service Authority, vacancies will be filled in about 9 districts

14 supervisors and 200 trainers in Ayurvedic University

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that Punjab is the only Yogashala of CM Mann in Guru Ravidar Ayurvedic University located in Hoshiarpur. Under this, new posts will be created by managing the budget. In this, 14 more supervisor posts and about 200 yoga trainers will go to different parts of Punjab and give health training to people.

Registration of workers will be made easy

Minister Cheema said that the registration of workers engaged in labor construction in Punjab used to be very difficult. Due to this, the workers used to have trouble in registration and they did not register themselves. But Punjab government has made its registration process easy.

Earlier, a worker had to wait for 6 months after applying for medical or any other benefit. But now it has been reduced through online. Wherever laborers are found working in Punjab, officers will go and register them.

Guaranteed home delivery of flour

Minister Cheema said that at the time of election, the AAP government had guaranteed delivery of flour to the people under the Ata-Dal Yojana. The guarantee has been approved in this meeting. Those who are beneficiaries of Ata Dal Yojana can avail the benefit from their depot. The state government will deliver flour to the homes of the people who have come for registration. For this Markfed will open 500 more new depots.

44 Punjabis killed in the flood will get compensation

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that flood-affected farmers in Punjab will get crop compensation. Workers were killed, roads and infrastructure were destroyed. For this, the central government had asked for funds in writing. He said that 44 people have lost their lives in the flood in Punjab. The state government will give compensation to their families.
