Around August 5, Gurpal Singh, son of Balwinder Singh, a young man from Bagri village, died in a bus accident on a highway in Mexico while going to America via donkey. The dead body of Gurpal Singh reached his native village Bagdi after about 25 days. Gurpal Singh was the only son of his parents and was unemployed having obtained education up to post graduation. He left for America through an agent.
But unfortunately, the bus in which he was going to America via donkey met with an accident on a highway in Mexico in which 6 Indians were killed besides Gurpal Singh. When the body of Kirpal Singh reached the village, the family and the people of the village looked very sad.
Talking on this occasion, the leader of Akali Dal Party of Halka Kadian, Guriqbal Singh Mahal, and farmer leader Thakur Balraj Singh, Gurpratap Singh, BJP leader Ajay Chandel said that the Punjab government has failed to provide employment to the educated youth, so the youth Losing their precious lives in the jungles of Mexico and Panama. The BJP leader said that after the intervention of the central government, the body of Gurpal Singh has reached the parents. On this occasion, the last rites of Gurpal Singh were performed in the afternoon in which a large number of people from the area were present.
