Yamaha launches updated FZ-X, R15 V4 and MT-15 V2 motorcycles in India

Yamaha, one of the leading two-wheeler companies, has updated its range of motorcycles in India. The company has added traction control system to its portfolio of motorcycles. Apart from this, some new features have been given in FZ-X, FZ-S, R15 and MT 15. The FZS-Fi V4 model will get a new headlight design and LED flashers. There will also be a Bluetooth enabled Y-Connect application.

In addition to the traction control system, Yamaha’s FZ-X has been given LED flashers and a new color scheme. Both the FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe and FZ-X models get single-channel ABS along with a rear disc brake. Apart from this, a multi-function LCD instrument cluster, an LED headlight has been given. Both these motorcycles are powered by a 149 cc single-cylinder engine, which generates 12.4 PS of peak power and 13.3 Nm of peak torque. The company’s FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe and FZ-X motorcycles are compatible with E20 fuel. Yamaha Ltd. has revealed that by the end of this year all its motorcycles will be made compatible for E20 fuel.

All the company’s motorcycles have been equipped with on-board diagnostics system to monitor the emissions. The R15M gets a colored TFT meter with gear shift indicator. Apart from this, track and street mode selector and LED flashers will be available. The company has also given a new paint scheme for the supersport motorcycle. The MT-15 V2 gets new LED flashers along with dual-channel ABS. The MT-15 V2 Deluxe will also be available in a new Metallic Black colour.

Last month, a major two-wheeler company in the country Bajaj Auto And the Swiss sports bike brand KTM achieved the production milestone of one million KTM motorcycles in a joint venture. KTM motorcycles in India are manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant near Pune in Maharashtra. There was a partnership between Bajaj Auto and KTM about 15 years ago. Under this, the production started with the KTM 200 Duke about 10 years ago. Since then the Bajaj Auto plant has become a production hub for KTM for 125-373 cc bikes. A large number of these bikes are sold in India and they are also exported to many countries.
