X service started after being stuck for an hour, no user post since around 11 am

The service of the social media platform was down for about an hour. Due to this, users were not able to see the post. Users around the world, including India, were facing difficulties accessing X since 11 am on Thursday.

Instead of the post, users were seeing a message that read 'Welcome to X'. Both desktop and mobile versions of the platform were affected. Many people also reported the X as down on the outage tracking website downdetector.com.

The service remained closed in March-July as well
This is not the first time that X has faced outages. At the beginning of this year, X was down in March and July. Even then, users were having trouble viewing and posting posts. Users from various countries, including India, had complained about the outage.

According to Statista, X has around 330 million users worldwide. It has 9.5 million users in the US and 2.7 million in India. About 50 crore posts are created every day. It was launched in July 2006. On October 27, 2022, Elon Musk bought it for $44 billion. As of today this amount is around Rs 3.6 lakh crore.
