Worm ate the brain of 10th class student

Brain Eating Amoeba: An amoebic worm entered the brain of a 15-year-old boy in Alappuzha district of Kerala. Within a few days, this worm ate the child’s brain, due to which he died. The deceased student was studying in 10th standard.

In fact, the name of the dead student is being said to be Guru Dutt. He lived with his family in Alappuzha district. On July 1, the family admitted him to Alappuzha Medical College. Here it was found that his brain has been eaten by a worm. The worm reached his brain through his nose while taking a bath. The boy died of amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM) or amoebic encephalitis. This PAM is an infection of the brain.

Kerala Health Minister Veena Jorn said that Amoebic Meningoencephalitis (PAM) is an infection. It grows in long standing water. Five cases of this infection have been reported in the state in the last few years. In all five cases, the victims have also died. The reason for this is that this disease is very deadly.

Guru Dutt was sick since June

Guru Dutt, who died during treatment in July, was given PAM in June. After contracting this infection, he started having fever and seizures. After this he was undergoing treatment. Where the young man died in the hospital.
