5G Speed in India: A recent report by Ookla, a website that tests the speed of telecom networks, has revealed that 5G in India is running at the speed of a rocket. India’s position is continuously improving in the speed test global index. Let us inform that in January 2023, India was at 69th position, but now due to the blazing speed of 5G in India, India has reached 49th position.
Since the introduction of 5G in India, the speed of mobile data has increased by 115 percent. According to Ookla, India is ahead of some G20 countries like Russia and Argentina in terms of data speed and Speedtest jumped a whopping 49 places to rank 69 in the global index. This test was done in January, 2023.
According to Ookla’s report, early adopters of Jio’s 5G in January 2023 experienced 246.49 Mbps average download speed in Himachal Pradesh. In this way, data speed up to 506.25 Mbps was found in Kolkata.
On the other hand, Airtel early users experienced average download speeds of 78.13 Mbps in Kolkata and 268.89 Mbps in Delhi.
According to the report, Vodafone Idea was losing users since 2022 and this pace has accelerated after the introduction of 5G. (with language input)
