Tehsildar Vs Patwari: Both Tehsildar and Patwari are administrative posts in the government. They are responsible for different functions and have different roles and responsibilities. A tehsildar is the administrative officer in charge of a tehsil, a subdivision of a district in India. Tehsildar is responsible for land records and revenue collection in his jurisdiction. He also has the power to settle disputes and impose fines and penalties. While a Patwari is a village-level revenue officer in India who is responsible for land records and revenue collection in a particular village. Patwaris are responsible for preparing and updating land records, issuing land related documents and collecting revenue from land owners.
