The Punjab government has recently regularized the teachers who have completed ten years of service. The services of these 12700 contract teachers have been regularized. It has also been announced that their salary will be increased three times and all other benefits of the government job will be given. Chief Minister Mann has said that the services of these teachers will be under the welfare policy of ad hoc, contract, temporary teachers and other employees in the school education department.
