Good news for Haryana government employees! 4 percent increase in dearness allowance

The Haryana government has increased the dearness allowance of state officials and employees by 4 percent. At present, dearness allowance of employees is 38 percent, which has been increased to 42 percent.

It will be effective from 1st January 2023 and dues from January to March will be paid in May. Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department Anurag Rastogi has issued this order.

It may be mentioned that there are a total of 4 lakh 45 thousand 346 sanctioned posts in the government departments of Haryana. However, out of these only 2 lakh 62 thousand 849 posts have been filled while 1 lakh 82 thousand 497 posts are vacant.

The employees posted on these posts will get the benefit of this new government order. According to Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, a letter has been issued for increase in DA, according to which the DA of basic pay has been increased to 42% from the existing 38% with effect from January 1, 2023.

Let it be said that the government has taken this decision considering the way inflation is continuously increasing in the country and the state. Chief Minister Manohar Lal has said that whatever decision he has to take in the interest of the employees, he will not hesitate at all.

It should also be mentioned that there is a provision to increase DA twice in a year on January 1 and June. But this time the government has taken this decision three months late in April. However, the employees will get these benefits from 1st January 2023 only.
