Vistara hikes salaries of pilots, cabin crew by 8 pc. 30 pilots of this Tata airlines resigned, troubled company now gave this strong gift

While Tata Group’s Air India is in news due to the mega deal, the other expansion airlines of the group are currently facing a serious pilot crisis. Meanwhile, the company has announced special gifts for the employees. The airline is going to increase the salary of pilots and crew members by eight per cent from April as part of efforts to increase its capacity to meet the growing travel demand.

Vistara Airline is a joint venture between the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines. Currently around 2,500 pilots and crew are associated with it. This source associated with the airline also claimed that around 30 pilots have resigned in the last six months and are currently serving their notice period. Most of these pilots have been offered jobs by airlines in the Gulf countries.

However, another airline official in a senior position denied the claim of 30 pilots leaving the job. He confirmed the information regarding increase in salary of pilots and crew members from April. He said that the decision to increase the salary is part of the annual performance appraisal and there is no other reason behind it. He said that some pilots have even withdrawn their decision to quit in view of Vistara airline’s plans to merge with Air India.

This highly placed source said, โ€œVistaar has increased the salaries of pilots by eight percent and crew members by six percent since April.โ€ Vistara did not return an email to the airline for comment. Reply not received. However, he has conveyed the decision of increment in an internal email sent to his pilot.
