Giving details, he said that the complainant approached the Vigilance Bureau and alleged that the said police officer should prepare the challan of a police case registered by the opposite party against him and his son in Sadar Mansa police station and present it in the court soon. K has asked for 3 thousand rupees as a bribe in return for helping him. The complainant also said that the said A. S. I. Earlier also, in the said case, the police has taken 12 thousand 500 rupees as bribe from him in exchange for not nominating any other family member of his.

The spokesperson said that after preliminary investigation of the matter, the vigilance team of Unit Mansa laid a trap and caught the said accused policeman on the spot by taking a bribe of Rs. 3,000 from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses. In this regard, the said accused A. S. I. A case has been registered against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Bathinda Range of the Vigilance Bureau. Further investigation of this matter is ongoing.
