Vigilance arrests Naib Tehsildar, Patwari for preparing fake will of land

During the ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau has arrested Naib Tehsildar and Patwari for forging documents and preparing wills of 14 kanal 11 marla land located at Khanuri.

The arrested accused has been identified as Naib Tehsildar Darshan Singh, currently posted at Breta District Mansa and the accused Patwari has been identified as Balkar Singh.

In this regard, IPC 409, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the Act and 13(1)(a) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Police Station Vigilance Bureau, Patiala Range FIR No. 29 has been registered on 23.8.23.

Vigilance teams from Patiala have arrested Patwari Balkar Singh and Naib Tehsildar Darshan Singh, while raids are on to nab the third accused, the spokesperson said, adding that further investigation is underway.
