Former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh’s advisor Bharat Inder Singh Chahal has been summoned again by Punjab Vigilance. This time he has been summoned by vigilance for the tenth time. Chahal is to be questioned in the case of assets beyond income.
It may be mentioned that Chahal’s anticipatory bail application was rejected by the court. The vigilance investigation team has asked Chahal for the records of the assets he had built during the last 6 years. Ten notices have been issued to Chahal from time to time to join the investigation, but neither has he responded to any of the notices nor has he reached the vigilance office to join the investigation.
Punjab Vigilance has also pasted notices at Chahal’s house and outside the palace. But despite all the action taken by the investigation team, Chahal did not join the investigation. The situation is not clear whether he will appear before the investigation team this time as well.
