The interesting thing is that every 15 days you will see the color of this valley changing. You will find more than 500 species of flowers in the Valley of Flowers, which means it is a treasure trove of biodiversity. Various types of flowers like pototilla, primilla, anemone, ammonitem, blue poppy, mars mary gold, fan lotus grow here.
Let us tell you that most flowers bloom here in the months of August-September. A world of rare species of animals, plants and herbs inhabits the valley. The valley is open from June to October.
If you want to visit the Valley of Flowers, it has been opened for tourists since June 1. October 31 will be the last day of its inauguration. Along with flowers, thousands of butterflies also live here. Musk Deer, Monal, Himalayan Black Bear, Guldar, Snow Leopard also live here.
To reach Valley of Flowers, you have to go to Govindghat from Badrinath Highway. From here you have to travel three kilometers by road to Pulna and at a distance of 11 kilometers you have to walk from Hemkunt Yatra base camp to Ghagaria.
The Valley of Flowers is located at a distance of three kilometers from here. To visit the Valley of Flowers, tourists have to carry food and drink from base camp Ghangaria itself as there are no shops there. Note that Indians have to pay a registration fee of 150 rupees and foreigners have to pay 600 rupees to go here.
