Amethi (UP), A stork was living like a friend at a young man’s house in Amethi district as he had saved the bird’s life once it was injured. But now the Forest Department has sent this stork to Samastpur Bird Sanctuary in Rae Bareli.

Divisional Forest Officer D.N. Singh said on Wednesday that a team of the department met and agreed with Arif, a resident of Mandkha, Jamo development block of Amethi, to send the stork to the bird sanctuary. He told that the stork has been sent to Samastpur Bird Sanctuary, Unchahar, Rae Bareilly on Tuesday.

According to him, videography of the process has also been done. Significantly, Arif, a resident of Mandkha of Jamo development block of Amethi district, had found a stork in an injured condition in the field about a year ago. Arif brought her to his home and took care of her. Slowly the stork got completely cured and started living with Arif. Videos and pictures of Arif and Saras had also surfaced on social media.
