Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of its construction on 24 March. As soon as this scheme starts, India will become the third country in the world after Bolivia and Mexico, where traffic facility is being provided through ropeway. Varanasi is the parliamentary constituency of PM Modi.

Rope-way will run from Cantt to Godaulia, 644.49 crore will be spent

The route of the ropeway has been fixed keeping in mind that people should not face any kind of problem while coming to Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Dashashwamedh Ghat. Domestic-foreign tourists and local people will be able to travel easily without facing the crowd. 644.49 crore will be spent on the construction of this rope-way running from Cantt to Godaulia, the main railway station of Varanasi. The Swiss company NHLPL will complete its construction in two years.

Tourists will travel to see the culture of Kashi

Explaining the need of this scheme, Vice President of Varanasi Development Authority, Abhishek Goyal says that the roads in the old area of ​​the city (Kashi) are narrow. The number of people- the traffic system collapses due to the pressure of vehicles. The jam remains. Tourists are in trouble. After the country’s first rope-way is ready, the traffic will be smooth. There will be five stations from Varanasi Cantt Railway Station to Godaulia Square. People will travel seeing the culture of Kashi.

The first station will be the Cantt Railway Station

The first station in the five stations of the ropeway will be the Cantt Railway Station. The second Kashi Vidyapeeth, the third Rath Yatra will be the fourth church and the last station will be Godaulia Chauraha. It will take six thousand people to the destination in one hour in both the directions. Ten passengers will be able to travel in one trolley at a time. Will not have to wait for more than two minutes for the trolley. After leaving one trolley, it will take only this much time for the second trolley to arrive. People will get the facility of ropeway for about 16 hours. Only eight hours will be closed in 24 hours.
