In the budget also a provision of Rs 233.16 crore has been made for the dairy sector. The Yogi government wants to make the milk union accessible to every household in UP, which produces 16 percent of the maximum milk in the country. For this, along with the strengthening of milk unions, preparations are being made to make provision for loans for the farmers.

Government will give grant to farmer group for buying indigenous cow

Under the Nand Baba Milk Mission, a milk organization has been formed by forming a group of farmers with Rs 61 crore 21 lakh. Get the right price of milk. A provision has been made in the budget to provide grants for the purchase of indigenous breeds of cows from other states. 25 crores have been received for grants and concessions to the units of the milk industry. It has been announced to complete dairy projects in Meerut and Varanasi with Rs.60 crores.

Dairy industry will be established

Under the Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development and Milk Products Promotion Policy 2022, milk industry units will be established in the state. There is a budget provision of Rs 25 crore for financial grants, concessions and other facilities to them. An arrangement of Rs 86 crore 95 lakh has been made for the scheme to strengthen and revive the existing milk unions.

750 crore will be spent to save the crops from stray cows

One of the major concerns of the farmers of UP is that stray animals are eating their crops. To free them from this worry, the government has decided to spend Rs 750 crore on the maintenance of stray cattle. Big cow protection centers will be established. 5-5 cow-shelter centers will be established in every district of Bundelkhand.
