The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has declared Canada-based gangster Lakhbir Singh Landa as a terrorist. The Home Ministry said the 33-year-old belonged to the Khalistani group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and had planned a rocket attack on the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali in 2021.

A notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs said: “Lakhbir Singh alias Landa, currently residing in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, belongs to Babbar Khalsa International. Landa was involved in a terrorist attack by a shoulder-fired rocket-propelled grenade on the building, supported by the Trans-Border Agency.
