Jalandhar: Cabinet Minister Balkar Singh’s convoy was attacked by miscreants when he and his wife were on their way to Mann Nagar, their residence near Ravidas Chowk. The miscreants in a luxury black car without number plate not only pelted bricks on Balkar Singh’s convoy but also beat up his pilot’s staff.

When the police constable standing at the spot tried to stop the miscreants, a group of miscreants beat up the constable. The spirits of the miscreants were so high that they followed the convoy of Minister Balkar Singh and reached the Kothi and started abusing him.

They surrounded the workers and started fighting. Minister Balkar Singh somehow calmed down the assailants but they were drunk and continued to misbehave. Finally ADCP City 2 Aditya reached Minister Balkar Singh’s residence and detained the assailants and impounded his luxury vehicle. CP Kuldeep Chahal says that the police is going to register a case.
