Unexpected checking of warehouses in Patiala district by the Minister of Food and Civil Supplies

Punjab Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak conducted a surprise check of various warehouses in Patiala district today and took stock of wheat in the warehouses. Director Food and Civil Supplies Ghanshyam Thori was also present with him on this occasion.

While visiting the warehouses of Samana, Bhunarheri and Sanur areas of Patiala district, Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said that it is our duty to maintain the grain produced by the blood and sweat of the farmers of Punjab and to make easy access of grain to the people. Therefore, they are constantly checking the warehouses by going to different areas of the state.

He said that the officials have been instructed to maintain the record of grain stored in the warehouses in a better manner and the record of daily lifting from the warehouses has also been asked to be updated every evening.

Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said that the main purpose of the unexpected checking is to understand the problems of the employees including the arrangement of the warehouses and the work of the employees. He said that the Chief Minister These are the clear instructions of Bhagwant Mann that any kind of irregularity or mismanagement will not be tolerated in any government department. He said that in future the checking of warehouses across the state will continue to be done in the same way. On this occasion, DFSC Dr. Ravinder Kaur and the staff of Food and Civil Supplies Department were also present.
