Atiq had bought this property in the name of his wife Shaista for Rs 4.50 crore. This matter was in the headlines then.

Along with this, the ED had also attached Rs 1.28 crore in Shaista’s account and the amount deposited in the bank accounts of several other relatives. ED’s Prayagraj unit officials had called Atiq’s close relatives and interrogated them in the initial phase. But, gradually the matter calmed down.
