Two youths of Pathankot were held hostage in Cambodia

Pathankot Youth: In the desire to go to New Zealand, two youths of Pathankot fell into the trap of travel agents. He was taken hostage in Cambodia. Thanks to the efforts of the Pathankot police, the two youths returned on Monday. The travel agent is absconding and the police have arrested his accomplices.

Pathankot SSP Harkamalpreet Khak said that Paramjit Saini and Sachin Saini, residents of Panjupur village, had planned to go to New Zealand illegally. He spoke to Tejinder Kumar (Greece for four years), a resident of the village. He identified them with Ludhiana agent Manpreet alias Mani. Both the youths lent 50 thousand rupees each from relatives to agent money to go to New Zealand on work permit.

The SSP said that on April 18, both the youths were sent from Delhi to Thailand. He was then taken to Cambodia and held hostage there. The agent asked the families of the two youths to leave only after paying another Rs 15 lakh each.

The SSP said that Paramjit’s brother Vijay Saini has given a written complaint to the police and requested to bring the two youths to Pathankot. The police have arrested the agent’s father and partner. SSP Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh said that a case has been registered against Tajinder Kumar, Manpreet Singh alias Mani and Lakhbir Singh under various sections including sections 420, 346, 120-B and section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act 2014 at Police Station Division No.2. has been done
