Two sisters committed suicide in Amritsar, suicide note recovered

The news of two sisters committing suicide has come to light in Amritsar. Both the sisters were troubled by their mother’s illness. Both the sisters were single. Fearing to be alone after the suspected death of their mother, both of them took this terrible step. The police have taken possession of the bodies and started the investigation.

According to the information received, two sisters living in New Garden Avenue under Lawrence Road have committed suicide. Both have been identified as Jyoti and Seema Kapoor. Both were about 50 years old. Both of them also wrote a suicide note before they died and expressed their desire not to do their post-mortem in it.

Police investigation found that both the sisters were not married. Both lived in the same house with their mother. Mother was ill for a long time. The fear of their death was haunting both of them. In Suicide, both wrote that they were afraid of being alone after their mother left. So they took this step. So no one should be blamed.

The bodies of both have been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem. Currently, the police have started action under IPC 174. Statements of relatives are being taken, on the basis of which a case will be registered and further action will be taken.
