Two policemen were crushed by a milk tanker while breaching the barricade at the police hi-tech checkpoint near Daula village on the Giddarbaha-Bathinda road in Muktsar, Punjab. Both the policemen were seriously injured in the accident. One of them was taken to Adesh Hospital Bhucho and the other was taken to Civil Hospital Giddarbaha. Where the injured are being treated. This incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed at the gate.
According to the information, the police had installed a hi-tech checkpoint near Daula village on the Giddarbaha-Bathinda road. At around 3:40 am today, a milk tanker was going from Giddarbaha to Bathinda. Due to high speed, the driver lost control of the tanker and broke the barricade on the bridge and trampled the two policemen present there.
On receiving the information, DSP Jasbir Singh Pannu and SHO Gurvinder Singh immediately reached the Hi-Tech Block. When the CCTV camera installed was checked, the entire footage of the accident was revealed. The police is taking action against the accused tanker driver on the basis of the CCTV footage.
