Yesterday, the government of India stopped the notes of 2 thousand rupees, for which time has been given till September 30 to change the notes. In this regard, SBI Bank has put a stop to some speculations and issued a clarification. In fact, SBI has made it clear that the facility of exchanging Rs 2000 notes up to the limit of Rs 20,000 in one bank will be provided without obtaining any ID or slip.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had announced demonetisation of Rs 2,000 notes on 19 May. The RBI has asked banks to exchange such notes or deposit them in accounts by September 30. The bank has also said that even after this it will remain legal.
