Traffic Wing of Punjab Police honored with the prestigious "FIKI National Road Safety Award 2022"

FIKI National Road Safety Award 2022: The Vidhi campaign led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to make Punjab’s roads safer and better, on Tuesday honored the Traffic Wing of the Punjab Police with the prestigious “FIKI National Road Safety Award 2022” in the category of Road Safety Interventions. He has earned a reputation for the state.

Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav ADGP Congratulations to Traffic Amardeep Singh Roy and the entire team of Traffic Wing for their commitment and hard work, who have contributed significantly to the success of the mission of Traffic Wing.

This honor was conferred by Dr. Navdeep Aseja, Traffic Advisor Punjab and Director of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on ‘Role of Corporates in Road Safety and FICCI Road Safety Awards 2023 Conference’ at FICCI Auditorium, Federation House, New Delhi on Tuesday. Punjab Road Safety and Traffic Research Center (PRSTRC) and PRSTRC. Scientist Simranjit Singh jointly acquired on behalf of Traffic Wing of Punjab Police.

ADGP A.S. Rai said that this award is dedicated to all the people of the traffic wing, who are doing their best to ensure the safety of the people of the state on the roads of Punjab. He said that this prestigious award recognizes his outstanding efforts in road safety initiatives and his dedication towards creating safer roads for citizens.

He said that Traffic Wing Punjab has shown full dedication and expertise in managing traffic and ensuring safety of passengers. He said that the Punjab Police has worked with sincerity and dedication to save lives on the roads in 2022.

Notably, the Punjab Road Safety and Traffic Research Center (PRSTRC) has played an important role in using comprehensive data for data-driven decision making, informed choices and effective implementation of road safety measures.
