Tomato Prices: The price of tomato has done wonders, this Indian farmer became a millionaire in a month

Tamato Price: On one hand, where the pocket is getting loose due to the increase in the price of tomatoes, on the other hand, it is as if a farmer from Pune, Maharashtra has won the lottery. Tukaram Bhagoji, a farmer living in Pune’s Narayanganj, earned over Rs 1.5 crore by selling 13,000 crates of tomatoes in a month. Tukaram owns 18 acres of cultivable land. In its 12 acres, he grew tomatoes with the help of his son Ishwar and daughter-in-law Sonali. The family said they have grown good quality tomatoes and awareness about fertilizers and pesticides has helped preserve the crop.

The farmer sold a total of 900 crates of tomatoes in Narayanganj on Friday. He got a rate of Rs 2100 on one crate. This earned 18 lakh rupees in one day. Last month also, Tukaram sold tomatoes at Rs 1000 to 2400 per crate.

Many tomato farmers of Pune’s Junar have now become millionaires. Tukaram’s daughter-in-law Sonali takes care of the work from tomato planting, harvesting to packing. There son Ishwar does the sales, management and financial planning of tomatoes. The family says that the hard work of the last three months has paid off.

Let us tell you that the story of farmers becoming millionaires by selling tomatoes is not limited to Maharashtra only. A family in Kolar, Karnataka also earned 38 lakh rupees by selling 2000 boxes of tomatoes this week.
