One of Tipu’s personal weapons, the sword was auctioned on Tuesday. Auctioneer Oliver White said in his statement that the magnificent sword is the best of all Tipu Sultan’s weapons still in private hands.

The head of the group said that two men bid over the phone, while one person in the room bid for the sword. There was fierce competition among the people who came to buy and sell the auction. Let us tell that after destroying Srirangapatnam, the British found many weapons from Tipu’s room. Some of the weapons in it were considered very special and close to Tipu. This sword was one of them.
