New food delivery platform ONDC: Online food craze is increasing in India. It is a convenient and easy option that people do not need to step out of the house and can enjoy their favorite food at home. Online food delivery companies like Swiggy and Zomato have already dominated this market, but now the government is also taking its share of the field.
The government has launched a government portal called ‘Open Network on Digital Commerce’ (ONDC) which aims to provide food to people at affordable prices. Through the ONDC portal, the government is claiming to provide cheap food in the region.
ONDC was launched in September 2022 and at that time it was receiving around 10,000 food orders every day. Now ONDC is in the limelight once again. Everyday people are comparing prices by sharing screenshots of orders from ONDC, Swiggy and Zomato. People claim that ONDC Food is getting cheaper. As a result ONDC has started its services in different cities of the country.
How it can be used-
If you have Paytm app, you can search ONDC in your Paytm app. For this, you have to search ONDC in Paytm app. When you search for ONDC in the app, you will see the ONDC store below.
You have to select it and then you will see different food and restaurant names. From here you can order your favorite food. Although, currently ONDC does not have its own app, but ONDC’s app may be launched in the future.
