Bureau Report: 2 youths died due to drowning in canal in Muktsar. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and the bodies of the two youths were taken out with the help of a crane. The police have handed over the bodies of both to the family after the post-mortem.
Water was blocked due to the repair work in the Rajasthan Feeder Canal. Due to which a 15 to 20 feet deep hole was formed in the canal. When the youth went down in the canal to take the plastic envelope, he drowned in the cave, when the other youth went to save him, he also drowned in the same cave.
Both were identified as Gopi and Babbu
When the residents of Thandewal village came to know about this incident, they searched a lot for the young man but could not find him, then the bodies of both the young men were removed with a crane in the afternoon. Both have been identified as 25-year-old Gopinath and 18-year-old Babbu Nath, who were residents of Muktsar, both used to work as junk workers. The police have taken possession of the dead bodies of both and have sent them to the civil hospital.
