It is getting colder day by day in Punjab. People are facing a lot of trouble due to cold as well as dense fog. On Saturday, Ludhiana, Amritsar and Fatehgarh Sahib remained the coldest areas of Punjab. The temperature of these cities was recorded at 4.1 degrees Celsius. While the temperature was recorded at 4.2 degrees Celsius in Faridkot, 4.3 degrees Celsius in Gurdaspur, and 4.9 degrees Celsius in Moge.

The weather department has issued an alert for the next five days. Dense fog is forecast to prevail in some areas of Punjab and Haryana in the morning. From this it can be estimated that the cold may increase in the coming days.

During the day, the mercury remains fine due to the sunshine, but as the evening sets in, it starts getting colder. According to IMD, there will be dense fog in Punjab till December 20. The temperature may drop by two to three degrees on Monday. However, there is no chance of rain yet.
