The seven “open” programs for subsidy at work

Seven job subsidy programs for the creation of new jobs, covering all age groups of the unemployed and the entire territory, with subsidy rates of up to 100% and a total subsidy of up to 17,000 euros per position, are being implemented this time, according to a public announcement Employment Service (DYPA).

Specifically, at the moment, there are 26,000 available positions in the following actions:

1. Program for the creation of new jobs for the recruitment of unemployed people who face significant obstacles to their integration or reintegration into the labor market. The grant covers up to 75% of salary and contributions for 12-24 months, up to 16,800 euros per new job. The available seats amount to 8,000.

2. Program for the creation of new jobs for the recruitment of the long-term unemployed, aged 45 and over. The grant covers up to 80% of salary and contributions for 18 months, up to 13,709 euros per new job. The available seats amount to 7,000.

3. New job creation program, with an emphasis on the green economy sector and women, to recruit unemployed people of all ages. The grant covers up to 80% of the salary and contributions for 15 months, up to 12,264 euros per new job. The available seats amount to 4,000.

4. Professional experience acquisition program for unemployed young people up to 29 years of age in the Regions of Attica and Central Macedonia, with 100% subsidy. DYPA pays directly to the beneficiaries a monthly compensation equal to the minimum wage, with full insurance contributions, for seven months. The available seats amount to 3,000.

5. New job creation program to hire unemployed people aged 56 and over who have completed the long-term unemployed job grant program aged 55 and over. The salary and contribution subsidy amounts to 715 euros per month for 15 months, up to 8,580 euros per new job. The available seats amount to 3,000.

6. Program for the creation of new jobs for the recruitment of the unemployed, aged 30-66, in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. The grant covers up to 70% of the salary and contributions for 12 months, with the possibility of extension for another 12, up to 17,170 euros per job. There are 700 available places.

7. Professional experience acquisition program for unemployed young people, aged 18-30, in North Evia, with 100% subsidy. DYPA pays directly to the beneficiaries a monthly compensation equal to the minimum wage, with full insurance contributions, for seven months. There are 300 available places.

The participation process for businesses is simple:

1. Businesses submit an application online, via gov.gr, https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/epikheirematike-drasterioteta/apaskholese-prosopikou/summetokhe-epikheireseon-ergodoton-se-programmata-katartises-anergon.

2. Businesses determine the number of positions, specialties and required qualifications.

3. DYPA confirms that the company meets the conditions.

4. DYPA’s employment advisors indicate candidates to the company, according to the required qualifications of the position.

5. The company selects among the candidates and hires.
