Barnala district police have solved the double murder case in village Sekha. Rajdeep Singh, who was living in the house, killed his wife Paramjit Kaur and mother-in-law Harbans Kaur because he wanted to grab the 5 acres of land in his wife’s name.

Under training SHO of Thana Sadar giving information. Police station chief Karan Sharma said that the police have registered a case of murder of Harbans Kaur and Paramjit Kaur based on the statements of Jaswinder Singh. Based on his statements, a case has been registered against the accused Rajdeep Singh.

Jaswinder Singh said that Rajdeep Singh lived with his aunt Harbans Kaur and aunt’s daughter Paramjit Kaur. Paramjit Kaur was married to the accused Rajdeep Singh a few years ago. There was 5 acres of land in the name of Paramjit which he wanted to usurp and sell.

According to Jaswinder, there were frequent fights over this matter. He used to beat both the mother and daughter after being intoxicated. The police have registered a case of murder against the accused. The police have arrested the accused but he himself is injured, so the police investigation is on.
