On the instructions of Bathinda Police Chief, Bathinda Harmanbir Singh Gill, CIA staff 1 and 2 conducted a surprise raid today in many hotels of the historical town of Talwandi Sabo. There is also information that many PGs were searched by the police and the information of the students living in them was collected.
It is being told that the city has become an education hub due to the presence of two universities, a university campus and many other educational institutions in Talwandi Sabo Nagar. Due to which a large number of students from the country and abroad are coming to study here. Where the students are staying in PG etc., there are also hotels like Khumbha in the city due to the large influx of students. .
There has been a demand for checking the validity of the said hotels for the past but now after the arrival of the new district police chief, the hotels were being tightened for the first time when CIA staff led by Jaswinder Singh in charge of 1 and Karandeep Singh in charge of 2 Police parties raided many hotels.
It has been learned that the records of some hotels have also been taken over by the police. Police officials said that on the orders of honorable SSP Sahib, a campaign has been launched against the hotels as the police suspected anti-social and immoral activities going on in some places. He said that the records of all the hotels and their validity will be checked and if anything wrong is found then the perpetrators will not be spared. Strict action will also be taken against them.
