Afghanistan has once again revealed its nefarious plan regarding girls’ education to the world. The Taliban has ordered private universities in Afghanistan not to allow girls to appear in university entrance exams.

According to local media, the Taliban has banned girls from appearing in university entrance exams scheduled for next month. The Taliban’s Ministry of Higher Education has sent a notice to all universities, stating that girls cannot apply for the exam until further notice. Let it be known that they have banned the registration of girls for the admission of 1402 (solar year) university examination.

The government barred women from working in non-governmental organizations, sparking outrage both within Afghanistan and internationally. After the Taliban ordered an indefinite ban on university education for Afghan girls, Education Can’t Wait asked Taliban officials in Kabul to reverse their order to suspend university education for Afghan girls.

Earlier this month, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held a meeting to discuss Afghanistan’s caretaker government’s decision to ban women from teaching and other work in NGOs. Many Islamic countries and organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), have condemned the ban on women and girls’ access to work and education as a violation.
