Meet Hare said that in order to create sports culture and good players in the state, it has to be started from the village level. He expressed satisfaction over the fact that the games were successful in this purpose of the motherland Punjab and in the coming time these games will be taken to a bigger stage. He also emphasized that giving the players good diet and good living facilities will boost the morale of the players and they will be able to focus better on their game. He also issued instructions to the officials to explore the possibilities of building a new sports hostel.

Hockey Olympian and Arjuna awardee Surinder Singh Sodhi, Additional Chief Secretary Sports Sarvjit Singh, Director Sports Harpreet Singh Sudan, Vice Chancellor of Punjab Sports University Jagbir Singh Cheema, representatives of NIS, schools and higher education, sports associations were present in the meeting.
