Aman Arora was presiding over an invitational meeting here with all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of the state through video conference to review the government services being provided through the service centers and the pending cases.
Appreciating the efforts of the Deputy Commissioners to ensure uninterrupted services to the people of the state through the Seva Kendras, Aman Arora asked them to investigate the reasons given by the officials/employees who have the highest backlog of cases while sending back cases. Instructions have been given.
He also warned of strict action against such officers/employees who are demanding additional documents besides raising unnecessary objections while providing services to the citizens. Currently, the rate of cases sent back due to any reason in the state is 0.56 percent.
Reiterating the commitment made by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to ensure uninterrupted services to the people in a transparent manner, Aman Arora asked the officials of the Administrative Reforms Department to provide online all the services provided offline. To accelerate its efforts so that these services can be provided to the people in a more transparent manner. He also emphasized the need to simplify the process of providing services and reduce the number of documents required to obtain services.
