The Yatra resumed today from Kartarpur Corridor to Sri Kartarpur Sahib Pakistan at Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur, Punjab. In the past, the journey was stopped for some time due to the rising water level of the Ravi in the corridor. After taking stock of the situation from DC Gurdaspur on Monday, the journey has started today.
After the start of the journey, Sangat is seen once again at Sri Kartarpur Sahib. About 132 pilgrims have been allowed to visit Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib on Tuesday. Health department employees Sarabjit Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Hira Lal, Gurbachan Singh, Simranjit Singh and devotees were also present on this occasion.
It should be said that the Sri Kartarpur Sahib crossing was closed from Thursday due to the rise in the water level in the Ravi river passing near the border. Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was opened on Tuesday after the water level decreased by cleaning Sri Kartarpur Corridor after completion of all arrangements by Land Port Authority of India, BSF and district administration officials.
