Gurdaspur News: The terror of stray dogs has increased once again in Gurdaspur city. Stray dogs preyed on 8 people in Mohalla Gopal Nagar of the city, due to which there is an atmosphere of panic among the people.
The first incident is from Behrampur Road, where stray dogs preyed on half a dozen people, including a three-year-old child. While the stray dog was scratching the child, the mother saw it and fought with the stray dog to save her child. After which the dog attacked him too. The whole incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the neighborhood.
Renu Bala, a resident of Behrampur Road, said that she had gone out to buy goods from the market with her son Manik. She had gone a short distance from the house when a pack of stray dogs surrounded her. The stray dogs first preyed on a three-year-old son. When she came forward to save him, the dogs attacked her too.
The dogs bit the child’s leg and arm. Hearing their cry, the people around gathered and rescued them from the clutches of the dogs with great difficulty. Not only this, the pack of stray dogs also attacked four other people in the area, who were seriously injured.
Local people said that stray dogs roaming in the area often prey on people. They especially pounce on small children. That is why the people of the area do not allow their children to go out of the house alone. They have demanded from the district administration to get rid of the dogs.
