The green-eyed girl of Mansa won the Gold Medal in the Judo Karate Championship

Those with high spirits never shed tears over their shortcomings, they just fight their circumstances and move on. One such example came from village Jatana Kalan in Mansa district, where a blind girl Veerpal Kaur won a gold medal in the Judo Karate Championship held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Blind Veerpal Kaur received a warm welcome on her arrival in the village. Virpal Kaur is blind since childhood.

Despite being blind, Virpal Kaur, who has the courage to achieve her goal, has studied in the government school of her village till the fifth standard of village Jatana Kalan in Mansa district. After this, she went to study at the deaf-mute school in Patiala, from where she got her education. Veerpal Kaur never considered herself weak and was determined to reach her destination. In the same vein, she had arrived to participate in the Judo-Karate Championship in the games being held in Lucknow. Where Virpal Kaur brought the name of Mansa district to light by winning the gold medal.

Narrating her journey, Veerpal Kaur said, “I was afraid of how it would turn out but some of her other teachers encouraged her, so I decided in my mind that of course I am physically blind but not weak.” And today the result is out.

On the other hand, Virpal Kaur’s father said that he has two children, both blind since childhood, who studied in the village school till the fifth standard and later sent both of them to Patiala for education.

Meanwhile, Veerpal Kaur’s teacher, seeing her hard work, asked her to focus on sports. He also said that he has made the name of the village and Mansa district bright by winning the gold medal in the National Championship. He said that despite being blind since childhood, Veerpal and his brother have been able to achieve this position with their true dedication and hard work.
