The government will spend 12 crore rupees on the development works of Amritsar

Dr. Inderbir Nijjar: The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is continuously striving to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the residents of the state. Focusing on establishing a clean and pollution-free environment, the government has launched several development projects and schemes across Punjab.

Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar announced that the Punjab government has decided to spend 12 crore rupees for the beautification and development of Amritsar. This significant budget will facilitate construction and repair of streets in various wards as well as painting and renovation of parks in various constituencies.

It is worth mentioning that Ward No. of Amritsar. At 33, 35, 37, 38, 40, 41, 62, 63 and 66, the construction of streets will be started at a cost of Rs.2.45 crore. Apart from this, Rs.29.80 lakh will be spent for the repair and maintenance of the streets of South Constituency and Central Constituency (Zone No. 4).

Painting and renovation projects for parks in South, Central and North constituencies will also be taken up with a budget of Rs 1.52 crore to enhance the beauty of the city. Besides, an amount of Rs.7.55 crore will be used for interlocking tiles in various streets, CC patchwork, road widening from Sadar Thane to Mother Teresa Statue (road work, interlocking tiles etc.) and other related works.

Dr. Nijjar reiterated the commitment of the Punjab government to provide corruption free administration to the people of the state. Anyone found involved in corrupt practices will face appropriate legal consequences without immunity.

Apart from this, Dr. Nijjar directed the officials responsible for the development works to maintain the highest standards of quality to achieve the desired results. The Government of Punjab is steadfast in its dedication to the overall welfare and development of its residents with the vision of creating a vibrant and prosperous state.
