The health department is still treating the woman as a suspected case and not declaring her positive. On one hand, the department has been alerted about the virus and has issued an advisory in this regard, while on the other hand, Civil Surgeon Dr. Vijay Kumar himself was seen inspecting the government hospitals of Amritsar till late evening after the official holiday and continued to review the services.
It is to be noted that corona virus has more effect in cold. When the virus started in India, a resident of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, who had come to Amritsar from the international airport, had the first positive case and was admitted to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital for treatment.
